Djokovic plans to save trick shot for practice

Novak Djokovic was pleased with his behind-the-back trick shot in practice but has no plans to use it during a match.

"Fortunately for me, there was somebody that recorded that. Doesn't happen very often. I didn't work on it. It's just instinctively I turned around and managed to play what I played," the world No. 1 said in Beijing.

But he described it as too low-percentage for competition, and added that it might get a negative reaction from his opponent.

"I don't know if I'm able to repeat that, I don't think so in a match," he said. "Still in a match it's different because you also have respect for the opponent and the game, so you can't really start doing different kind of things because it's a bit disrespectful towards your opponent."

Djokovic won his sixth Beijing title last week.
