Hi all. Another day, another Crisis Center. Today the WTA begins its year-ending Championships at the Khalifa International Tennis Centre in Doha, with an eight-woman field consisting of four Russians, two Serbs, and two Williams sisters. Play begins at 5 p.m. local time, which translates to 9 a.m. EST.
The three Round Robin matches to be played today are as follows:
Kuznetsova leads the head-to-head with Zvonareva 7-3, world number one Jankovic has only scored one win to date in seven attempts against her fellow Serb Ivanovic, and Safina and Williams have only chalked up one career meeting to date, in Stuttgart this year, won by Williams.
