The choice of ground for the zonal Davis Cup tie between New Zealand and Pakistan has been changed because of security concerns. The tie was scheduled to be held in Pakistan but will now take place in New Zealand following a decision by the Davis Cup committee and its security consultants.

New Zealand had requested a security review after the draw was announced.

It is the second home tie in a row that Pakistan has not been allowed to host -- its first-round contest in March was moved to Hong Kong. Pakistan has asked the ITF for financial compensation to make up for the loss of revenue.
