The ITF has offered Pete Sampras replicas of his stolen Davis Cup trophies. Sampras was recently robbed of most of his tennis trophies, including those from the United States’ Davis Cup wins in 1992 and 1995.
Sampras managed to hold on to 13 of his 14 Grand Slam trophies, but was robbed of his 1994 Australian Open trophy. Australian Open tournament director Craig Tiley told Bloomberg that they are "keen to help out one of our great champions in whatever way we can. It is a very valuable trophy but its worth goes far beyond dollars and cents."—Matthew Cronin
