American Vania King has hired Alejandro Dulko as her new coach. King, who reached a career-high rank of No. 50 in 2006 -- the year she won her lone career singles title in Bangkok -- has fallen to No. 133 in the rankings and has yet to win a main-draw WTA match this season.

“I want to let you know that it's not easy to be public about personal matters it also took me a while to figure out what was going on, but for a long time I was struggling with motivation and various other factors,” King tweeted. “No excuses, and suffice to say I have a new coach and am working hard and feel confident about the direction I’m taking.”

Dulko is the brother and former coach of the recently retired WTA player Gisela Dulko.
