Paolo Lorenzi, who won Kitzbuhel to become the oldest first-time titlist on the ATP tour, says he's just happy to finally win a tournament.

"I think it’s great to win an ATP trophy,” he told the ATP website. “I don’t look at the age. [A] goal of this year was to win one trophy, so this is great for me.

"I will try to play more big tournaments with my ranking and try to do my best. "

The Italian was playing his second tour final, having reached the final of Sao Paolo two years ago. The 34-year-old says he is still looking to improve in his mid-thirties.

"I’m changing a lot,” he said. “I’m still too far behind the baseline sometimes. We’re working every day to try and do something more. I need to improve a lot of things, so this is just the start."
