Rafael Nadal has been nominated for Sportsman of the Year by the Laureus World Sport Awards, alongside Sebastian Vettel, Manny Pacquiao, Kobe Bryant and Barcelona soccer stars Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi.

Serena Williams, Kim Clijsters and Caroline Wozniacki have been nominated for the Sportswoman of the Year alongside Lindsey Vonn, Jessica Ennis and Blanka Vlasic.
