Serena Williams may have branded her flabbergasting U.S. Open semifinal loss to Roberta Vinci a "win," but it's not debatable that her second straight New York Fashion Week showing was just that.

Fresh off the disappointment of falling two matches short of a calendar-year Grand Slam, Williams revealed her Signature Statement line at a fashion event featuring front-row guests the likes of Vogue's Anna Wintour, model pals Gigi Hadid and Lily Aldridge, and that guy Drake.

Williams owns celebrated curves herself, and suffered a round of flak for deploying skinny models to the runway for her show, but that didn't prevent her from, yes, slaying the appearance.

"Anna's really been my mentor," Williams said of Wintour. "She's gone over this whole collection." Good thing then that Drake, found on the sideline at a few of Serena's late-summer tennis events, found a way to share a laugh with the editor extraordinaire.

From fringe dresses to tailored blazers, it's true: If not on court in New York, Serena certainly won out here.
