Howdy, TWibe! Last week, I wrote about my brief foray into voiceover work and asked if anyone was interested in hearing my voiceover demo. A few of you responded, so I've made my demo available online; there are two separate clips, one for commercials and one for narrations. (Special thanks to Arun for helping me set this up.) I hope you enjoy it - and let me know if my voice sounds anything like you imagined!
We've started a number of new discussion topics in our TennisWorld > Real WorldFacebook group, so I encourage you to check them out and add your two cents. (A reminder to those who plan on joining or who have already requested to join the group: Once you submit your request, you'll receive a message from me asking for your TW comment-posting moniker; please make sure to respond, since I won't be able to confirm your request otherwise.)
Though we still have Davis Cup (and exhibition) action to look forward to, ostensibly the tennis season has ended. But before we close the door on 2008, I think it's only appropriate that we have our very own year-end awards "ceremony"! We've already begun to share our thoughts on the best matches of the year in the "Your Call" threads (Master Ace, do you still have that list of everyone's picks handy?), so I'm hoping we can continue that discussion - and begin some new ones - right here.
Since we could probably cast our votes for just about anything (Best Outfit? Worst Challenge?), I had a rough time narrowing down the categories but settled on the most "legitimate" ones - what you'd see in an actual awards ceremony (for the most part, anyway). Take a look at the list, then tell us who you think deserves to win each award and why. Include picks for both the ATP and the WTA.
