Victoria Azarenka comments on Serena Williams' absence at the mandatory China Open this week. Williams says she has the flu. Williams recently edged Azarenka in a three-set U.S. Open final. No. 4 Serena owns a 10-1 head to head record against world No. 1 Azarenka.
"First of all, it's not good to see any player not being able to play,” Azarenka told reporters. “And even though I never beat her — I mean, I beat her once [in the 2009 Miami final], but not recently — I would like to beat her again, and until I do, I want to play her every week."
Azarenka has been suffering from about of dizziness that forced her to retire in Tokyo, but says she is now feeling better.
