Mornin' Tribe. I'm coming off a fine four-day weekend up at the farm in game-rich Andes, the final two days of which I spent alone with my little boy, Luke. The highlight, for both of us, was our daily swim in the pond. By yesterday afternoon, Luke was jumping off the big rock on his own, without demanding that I catch him. He would just hit like a little cannonball in front of me, protected by his life jacket (the pond is about 10-feet deep at the rock). Ever see a little kid come up from underwater? They look so shocked and wide-eyed, the way you'd think they would at the moment of birth if they weren't such slimy little slugs at that time.

We have our long-range planning meetings today and tomorrow at Tennis, so posting will be miminal. Feel free to use this post as the place to discuss any of the low-key tournaments now underway as we ramp up to Wimbledon. I don't know what this kid Mahut was eating for breakfast during Queens, but it gave him extraordinary powers of levitation. Is he going to be a threat at the Big Show?

I'll be traveling to Los Angeles mid-week next week, and you'll have Wimbledon Crisis Center posts every day, as well as updates from the road. I'm sure I can get Pete Sampras to weigh in with a few thoughts when we meet on Tuesday and Wednesday, too. And, of course, I'll be posting from Wimbledon when the second week gets underway.

One last note, please remember to send Heidi, our TW Social Director,  any news you deem worthy of mention, as well as any pictures you'd like to share with fellow members of the Tribe. Steggy burned me a CD of images she had on file, but so far I haven't figured out how to open them, so if you have already sent a picture, I'd appreciate it if you'd re-send it to Heidi.

I'd better run into this meeting now, but I'll be back later.
