Good morning. This is your regular daily space for discussing or match-calling today's tennis. We'd be grateful if you could keep the subject on tennis, given the amount of traffic we see during Slams. Once the day's action is over, off-topic discussions are acceptable.

Daily Weather Report:

I've been outside this morning, and it's a warm day. Blue skies are punctuated by a few wisps of white cloud.  The forecast for the rest of the day is good. Tomorrow, however, we could see some heavy showers.

Match of the Day:

Many of the Tribe seem to be focused on the match between Ernests Gulbis and Rafael Nadal. The two have never played before, on any surface. Gulbis gave Andy Murray a serious battle two weeks ago at Queen's Club, taking the first set. Gulbis' record on grass in his career to date is 3-4 won-lost, but all the wins have come in the past two weeks. Gulbis, being interviewed by the BBC this morrning, does not sound overly confident of winning, but he believes that he has a chance, or can at least make it a close match.

Player of the Day:

From yesterday, Marat Safin. Enough said.

As always, enjoy today's tennis.
