Mike Bryan Bio and Stats

The right-handed side of the most successful doubles team in ATP history, Mike Bryan has won 15 Grand Slam doubles titles with twin brother Bob Bryan. The Bryan brothers have won an Open Era record 92 doubles titles and are the only men's Open Era team with more than 800 doubles wins. The Bryans (Mike is the older twin by two minutes) finished the year as the No. 1-ranked doubles team three straight times from 2005-07.  The Bryans have won the men’s doubles at the Australian Open six times (2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2013); at the French Open twice (2003 and 2013); at Wimbledon three times (2006, 2011 and 2013); and at the U.S. Open four times (2005, 2008, 2010 and 2012). The Bryans captured their first Olympic doubles gold medal at the 2012 London Games to complete the career doubles Golden Slam. On July 6, 2013, the Bryan brothers won their third Wimbledon title to become the first men's team in tennis history to hold all four majors and the Olympic gold medal at the same time. The Bryan brothers' bid to complete the single-season Grand Slam came to an end when Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek beat them in three sets in the 2013 U.S. Open semifinals. The Bryans won their third Delray Beach title in February, 2014, collecting their 94th title together. The twins extended their Indian Wells winning streak to 10 matches defeating No. 2 seeds Alexander Peya and Bruno Soares 6-4, 6-3, in the 2014 Indian Wells final. On Easter Sunday, 2014, they won their 98th team title in Monte Carlo. Mike Bryan became the first man to win 100 tour-level doubles titles. It was the Bryans' fifth consecutive title as they stretched their winning streak to 21 matches. The Americans extended their winning streak to 17 matches in claiming their fourth straight title. On August 17, 2014, the Bryans beat Vasek Pospisil and Jack Sock in the Cincinnati final to win their 99th career doubles title together. On September 7, 2014, the Bryan brothers captured their fifth U.S. Open doubles title and historic 100th career team title defeating Marcel Granollers and Marc Lopez, 6-3, 6-4, in the U.S. Open final. The California-bred brothers clinched the Americans’ victory over Russia in the 2007 Davis Cup final. At Stanford University in 1998, Bob won the NCAA “Triple Crown” with singles, doubles (with Mike) and team titles. The brothers are avid musicians; the Bryan Brothers Band features Bob on bass and keyboard and Mike on drums.
