Nikolay Davydenko is a 21-time ATP tour title winner. He has won three Masters titles, including the year-end ATP World Tour Finals, and finished 2009 in the Top 10 for the fifth year in a row. Due to his shot-making and quickness, he is widely viewed as one of the best players on the men’s tour never to have won a Slam, though he has reached two semifinals each at Roland Garros and the U.S. Open. He won the Davis Cup title with Russia in 2006, defeating Argentina in the final. In 2007, he was at the center of a betting scandal in which he was suspected of match-fixing, but his name was cleared by the ATP tour the following year. Davydenko won his 21st ATP title in Munich with a three-set win over German Florian Mayer in April, 2011. He married wife Irina on Nov. 25, 2006 in Moscow. Davydenko is coached by his brother Eduard.
