The most successful Greek woman player, 5'11"
Eleni Daniilidou is an attacking stylist who has wielded her strong
serve-and-volley skills and one-handed backhand to win five WTA singles
titles in six career finals. Daniilidou prefers grass (her first title
came on the grass of 's-Hertogenbosch) and fast hard courts where she
can impose her serve-and-volley style. Daniilidou cites fellow
one-handed backhand players Roger Federer, Pete Sampras and Gabriela
Sabatini as her tennis inspirations.
