An aggressive baseliner whose game is built around her forehand and a serve that is bigger than her 5-foot-7 size suggests, Christina McHale enjoyed her best season in 2011. She upset world No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki in Cincinnati, reached quarterfinals at Charleston and New Haven and reached a career-high ranking of No. 42. Born in Teaneck, N.J., McHale moved to Hong Kong with her family when she was three and learned to play tennis there, returning to the U.S. at age eight.
