Undefeated in high school and a junior U.S. Open singles champion, Sock is beginning to make his mark on the pro game. At the 2011 U.S. Open, he won an ATP main-draw match for the first time (over Marc Gicquel) and won the mixed doubles title with Melanie Oudin. Sock and Vasek Pospisil partnered for the first time at the 2014 Wimbledon and defeated the top-seeded Bryan brothers in the final, 7-6 (5), 6-7 (3), 6-4, 3-6, 7-5. They were the third team to win a Grand Slam doubles title in their first tournament together and the first since Max Mirnyi and Lleyton Hewitt did it at the 2000 U.S. Open.
