Roberto Bautista Agut Bio and Stats

Roberto Bautista Agut, nicknamed “Bati,” grew up admiring fellow Spaniards Juan Carlos Ferrero and David Ferrer. Nine years after turning pro, on June 21, 2014, he won his first career singles title on the grass of ‘s-Hertogenbosch. Less than a month later, showing his versatility, the Spaniard won another title on the red clay of Stuttgart. In the fall of that year, Bautista Agut cracked the Top 20 (No. 14). He also reached the fourth round of the Australian and U.S. Opens in 2014, and advanced that far at Wimbledon in 2015 and at Roland Garros in 2016, establishing himself as a threat at all four majors. In 2016 he won two more titles—this time on hard courts—in Auckland and Sofia. Bautista Agut favors his forehand and, despite his ability to win on all surfaces, is especially dangerous on clay.
