Camila Giorgi is an aggressive baseliner who hits the ball much harder than her slender size suggests. At the 2013 U.S. Open, Giorgi played through qualifying winning six straight matches, including an upset of No. 6 seed Caroline Wozniacki, to advance to a Grand Slam fourth round for the second time. In April, 2014, Giorgi reached her first WTA final in Katowice and held a match point before losing to Alize Cornet, 7-6 (3), 5-7, 7-5 in a three hour, 11-minute final.
