Karolina Pliskova captured her first WTA title with a three-set victory over Bethanie Mattek-Sands in the 2013 Kuala Lumpur final. Karolina and twin sister Kristyna won the 2013 Linz doubles title to make history as the first twins to claim a WTA doubles title together. On September 21, 2014, Pliskova beat Varvara Lepchenko, 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-2, to claim her second career title in Seoul. In 2010, Karolina beat Laura Robson to win the Australian Open girls' title.
