Note to those of you who sweat the details:
The time stamps on my posts through the U.S. Open are going to seem a little screwy. That's because after Wimbledon, I realized it's very easy to get stuck at your desk for the entire day with a couple of good quotes and an idea about where to take them.
But I've resolved to get out in the thick of it a lot more during the U.S. Open—I've got all fall and winter to sit at the desk, right? In any event, that also means I'll be writing and posting my thoughts in batches at random hours, starting with the ones that are above here.
Update: I'm also running into some software glitches that may also affect my ability to write and post with an ideal, minimal time lag.
