Michelle Brito Picture by Mário Gouveia/Jornal do Ténis

Hi everyone. It appears that the Monday Net Post is well and truly in TypePad limbo, so I suggest that you talk here about the tennis that's going on. There are ATP tournaments happening in in Munich and Belgrade, the WTA is playing in Rome this week - and there's a joint tournament in Estoril.

On that note we've been sent today's picture by our friend Miguel Seabra, who's right there in Estoril. It's of the sixteen-year-old Portuguese player Michelle Larcher de Brito, who today plays Shahar Peer. Larcher de Brito lost yesterday in qualifying to Elena Bovina, 6-0, 6-2, while exhausted after winning a match on Sunday that lasted 3 hours and 42 minutes. However, she was given entry into the tournament as a lucky loser.

I understand that Miguel met naughty T at the tournament, so perhaps we'll hear more about it from the latter at some stage.

As always, enjoy today's tennis.
