Rafa

Sorry to have failed to provide a Day 3 Crisis Center yesterday, amigos, but we're back in business for today and ready for you. A real bummer about Milos Raonic going down with a bad hip, his match with defending champ and top-seed Rafael Nadal promised much.

Those who know say that it really helps to get a little help from lady luck now and then, and one of the things that defines a great player is the way he or she will capitalize on a stroke of good fortune. And it's the exact opposite with the also-rans and pretenders, who seem to shrink from the opportunity offered by a lucky break.

Raonic's default is going to help Nadal in ways that merely winning a match with Raonic would not. I'll bet Rafa isn't feeling quite as tired and disgruntled tonight as he has been in recent days. Enjoy the tennis today, and I'll be back with you tomorrow.
