Former world No. 1 Jelena Jankovic has brought back one of her former coaches, Diego Ayala, to help coach her during the U.S. Open Series. Ayala is with the Serbian at the Bank of the West Classic in Stanford this week and will travel with her to San Diego next week. He once coached Robby Ginepri.

Jankovic has been through a slew of coaches in her career, including two others this year alone: Former UNLV standout Henner Nehles, as well as Zeljko Krajan, who coached Dinara Safina and Dominika Cibulkova.

The 13th-ranked Cibulkova, who split with Krajan in the spring, said she has named her hitting partner, Peter Miklusicak, as her new coach and they are committed for the rest of the season.—Matt Cronin
