Djokovic: No Aussie ATP warm-ups, but yes to Davis Cup

by: Matt Cronin November 26, 2012

Novak Djokovic will not play any ATP tournaments leading up to January's Australian Open, instead choosing to play an exhibition in Abu Dhabi at the end of this year and then the Hopman Cup in Perth at the start of 2013. The Hopman Cup is a mixed team competition, but not a tour event.

Djokovic’s web site states that after the Serbian attempts to defend his title at the Australian Open, he will play a first-round Davis Cup tie against Belgium. Djokovic did not play Davis Cup in 2012. He will then play Dubai, Indian Wells, and Miami.
