Mardy Fish has pulled out of the SAP Open in San Jose due to ongoing heart issues, the tournament reported. The Feb. 11-17 event was supposed to be the 30-year-old’s first tournament since he pulled out of his fourth-round match against Roger Federer at last year’s U.S. Open.

Fish is currently serving as a hitting partner for the U.S. Davis Cup team as it prepares for its first-round tie against Brazil in Jacksonville this weekend. Fish’s agent, John Tobias, said that Fish would attempt to return to action at the Memphis tournament, which begins on February 18.
