Former No. 1 Ana Ivanovic says she is still battling a shoulder injury she sustained at the Australian Open.

“I’ve been struggling with my shoulder for weeks now and it was affecting me," she told reporters in Dubai after beating Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. “I was afraid to get the ball because it was getting a little bit sore. It started after Melbourne and I had MRIs and a doctor look at it. There’s no major tear. It’s just some ongoing problem that I really have to work on and get it stronger. I’m doing a lot of rehab and a lot of stuff off the court as well.”
