Jelena Jankovic and Ana Ivanovic have pulled of Serbia’s Fed Cup World Group tie against the Slovak Republic with injuries. According to her website, Ivanovic aggravated a shoulder injury while practicing in Melbourne after the Australian Open.

Serbia, which reached the Fed Cup final last year before losing to the Czech Republic, will now depend on young players Bojana Jovanovski, Vesna Dolonc, and Aleksandra Krunic. The tie begins on Saturday.

In other Fed Cup news, L’Equipe reports that Marion Bartoli may not be able to play in France’s World Group II tie against Germany because to the flu. Bartoli is set to return to the competition for the first time in nine years.
