Victoria Azarenka might have an MRI on her problematic ankle prior to her Thursday quarterfinal against Caroline Wozniacki at Indian Wells. The world No. 2 says her ankle has been bothering her since the start of the tournament. The defending champion also has a bad cold and has had trouble breathing on court.
“I'm not going to give any answer of pulling out, that's for sure,” Azarenka said. “I'm going to do everything I can to be ready for my next match and fight as hard as I can. There's no doubt about that.”
