by: Matt Cronin March 09, 2013

Marion Bartoli has hired former Wimbledon champion Jana Novotna as her full-time coach. The 11th-ranked Frenchwoman and her father Walter recently decided that he would no longer travel with her. Bartoli met with Novotna in Doha and hired her just before Indian Wells.

“I knew I needed a woman because I need to have someone who understands me, and a woman champion is totally different than a man,” Bartoli told TENNIS.com.
