Two time Roland Garros champion and U.S. Davis Cup captain Jim Courier says that if not for a rain delay he believes Novak Djokovic would have beaten Rafael Nadal for the French Open title last June. Play was suspended with Nadal trying to protect a 6-4, 6-3, 2-6, 1-2 lead on Sunday, but Nadal came back on Monday and completed a 6-4, 6-3, 2-6, 7-5 win contested over two days.

“I think [Djokovic] would have [won Roland Garros] last year but for a rain delay,” Courier said. “Certainly [he] can [this year].”
