NHL star Henrik Lundqvist salutes Bjorn Borg with goalie mask

New York Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist "salutes three Swedish sports legends" starting Thursday by donning a mask that features the likeness of Bjorn Borg, among others. Wearing this "playoff bucket," Lundqvist and his teammates will take on the Washington Capitals starting tonight in D.C.

Check out the mask in the photo, courtesy of Lundqvist's Twitter account, which also offers tribute to Ingemar Stenmark, a champion skier in the 1970s and '80s—Borg's same era—voted by Swedish citizens in 1999 as their homegrown Athlete of the Century, and Ingemar Johansson, a heavyweight boxer named Sports Illustrated's Sportsman of the Year in 1959. (Johansson died in 2009.)

Tennis-meets-hockey fans, what do you think of this tribute to three outsized champs?
