Nadal: I deserved French Open win after Australian Open loss

Rafael Nadal suggests that was poetic justice that he managed to beat Novak Djokovic in an epic semifinal at Roland Garros where he was down a break in the fifth set after he lost a record five hour and 53 minute marathon final to the Serbian at the 2012 Australian Open.

“In Australia everything was good for me, yet I lost,” he said. “So I deserved such a match after this defeat in Australia.”
