UPDATE: Novak Djokovic has now confirmed this (seemingly inevitable) engagement to Jelena Ristic via—what else?—social media.

EARLIER: According to Serbian media outlets, the ATP World Tour's No. 1 player, Novak Djokovic, is engaged to longtime girlfriend Jelena Ristic. This news arrives in the wake of his second-straight runner-up showing at the U.S. Open, where Ristic cheered him on, often with Virgin mogul Richard Branson by her side. The couple also just enjoyed a profitable Novak Djokovic Foundation gala in New York City.

Some sources advise caution on the veracity of the report, but others—certainly those in the Djoker's fan camp—are quite hopeful that the word is true. A potential best man in the nuptial is one Andy Murray, allegedly (see first link above).
