Rafael Nadal says he is very happy that fellow Majorcan and friend Carlos Moya has been selected as captain of the Spanish Davis Cup team. Nadal added that he expects to help him more than he could his predecessor, Alex Corretja, because he was suffering “physical problems” during Corretja's tenure.

"Carlos Moya is one of the most important athletes our country has had and to be captain of the Spanish Davis Cup is a reward for a job well done,” Nadal said in statement.
