"Stan" Wawrinka will make his first tournament appearance at the French Open. Stanislas Wawrinka is now officially going by Stan, having requested the change with the ATP.

The French Open draw uses the smaller version of his first name, and is his first tournament since the change. The 28-year-old said that like Andy Murray, he is reflecting what others frequently call him.

"It's just to simplify everything on the draw, my name during press conferences," he said. "That's the only reason."
