This edition of Fourhand holds the latest scuttlebutt about Caroline Wozniacki's dating life (wait, doesn't she already have a perpetual platonic life partner in Serena Williams?), Roger Federer's sleek abode, and more. Here's the rundown:

BUDDING LOVE GAME? All it took was one charity event on each other's arm, but the word out of Washington, D.C., is that Caroline Wozniacki may have a new paramour in Ryan Kerrigan, the 26-year-old Washington Redskins NFL player who played college pigskin at Purdue University (and hails from your loyal Spin keeper's own alma mater town, Muncie, Indiana). Needless to say, the 5-foot-10 New York City Marathon participant wouldn't have to fret about wearing heels with this one, if indeed they are consciously coupling: Kerrigan stands 6-foot-4 sans cleats.

Sideline: Wozniacki just penneda Sportsman of the Year ode to Serena for Sports Illustrated's so-themed annual feature. The Dane writes, "She stays true to her word and never changes her personality for anyone or anything. Throughout her career she has remained consistent as a person, and I think that is really admirable." And in closing: "My only problem with Serena is that I’m tired of losing to her. So I told her, 'Watch out, I’m coming for you in 2015.'"

EVERYBODY LOVES ROGER  The Greatest of All Time, one Roger Federer, has completed work on his new villa by Lake Zurich, and as might be expected of the 17-time Grand Slam champ, it's a humble little cottage. And by that we mean it's a fairly palatial edifice, one with a water view, multiple expansive balconies larger than my first few apartments (combined), a tennis court, a swimming pool, and an adjoining, similarly sleek chalet for his parents to enjoy when they're not over with their spawn to enjoy time with him, Mirka, and two sets of twins. It's all just peRFect.

ON A WIM  Wim Fissette, the coach just released by Simona Halep last month, dished on his former charge to Nick McCarvel for Tennis Now, citing her "boredom" as partially responsible for their split. He also notes that she prefers "only Romanians" on her team. Elsewhere, Fissette taps Garbine Muguruza and David Goffin to have big 2015 seasons on tour.

THE REVOLUTION THAT WASN'T  It turns out that tennis statistics could have evolved so much more rapidly (or, really, much at all), had the sport's powers-that-be taken to the copious numbers kept by Bruce S. Old dating back to as early as 1947. Say, how many times does that player put away overhead smashes for winners? And how often does he or she hit the ball down the line? The world may never know.

PLUS: DON'T QUIT YOUR DAY JOB  The International Premier Tennis League is off to a sterling start, with fans at matches just slightly less vocal than those at Davis Cup ties, the sport's stars of both genders taking part, and selfies galore. Of course everyone's all smiles; word is they're each making about $1 million per match. Even so, Ana Ivanovic pretended to change careers on a flight with her IPTL comrades, serving as a flight attendant on a charter jet also harboring Serena Williams, Daniela Hantuchova, Goran Ivanisevic, Tomas Berdych, Marin Cilic, Lleyton Hewitt, and more. "Stick to tennis," Serena told Ana in an Instagram dispatch about the event.
