Bouchard soon found herself caring more about backhands than hemlines, though, going out and besting Williams by a 6-2, 6-1 score in Hopman Cup competition. That after a tame, 6-0, 6-4 loss in her opener to Lucie Safarova, a player Bouchard should beat more often than not.
