Viktor Troicki and Mikhail Kukushkin will contest the first all-qualifier final on the ATP tour, which will be played at Sydney with both bidding for their second career title.

Both players came through qualifying and have won seven matches in a row in frequently hot conditions.

“I didn't expect that two qualifiers never played each other in the final,” said Kukushkin when told it would be the first ATP final between two qualifiers. “It means a lot for me and Viktor, who had a tough year.”

"It's an interesting fact, and definitely it's going to be, I think, a good final,” said Troicki. “I think Kukushkin is playing good tennis. We played a few times, I think. I know what to expect...We will also see who is fitter. We both had a lot of matches.”
