Eugenie Bouchard has received a wildcard into Charleston, looking to turn around her form from the hard-court season.

The 21-year-old has fallen to qualifiers at consecutive Premier-level tournaments, first in Indian Wells to Lesia Tsurenko and then in her opening round in Miami to Tatjana Maria. Her only other tournament since reaching the quarterfinals of the Australian Open was an opening-round defeat at Antwerp; she withdrew from subsequent tournaments with an arm injury.

The Canadian reached the semifinals at The Family Circle Cup last year.
