Fourhand: Doubles stars Errani, Vinci split; Wimbledon poster backlash

The Spin's latest Fourhand installment features equal parts beauty and controversy. Perhaps that's the nature of the beast. Here goes:

DOUBLES TROUBLE  Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci, one of just five women's doubles pairs to win the career Grand Slam, have called it quits on their playing partnership. "We invested lots of energy, both mental and physical, to achieve our goals, which we are very proud of, therefore we now feel the need to rest and catch our breath," the tandem said in what was, of course, a joint statement.

TAKING A PLUNGE Reuniting with trusted celebrity photographer James Russo, Ana Ivanovic staged a photo shoot, presumably for a forthcoming editorial appearance. The pair is joined at the hip, it seems, judging by exhibits A, B, and C.

GROWING TOGETHER Yesteryear's dual antagonists, Serena Williams and Jelena Jankovic, have a professional relationship well on the mend, it appears. "The other day when I finished the match, Serena goes, 'You go! We go 30-year-olds.' She gave me a high five. I'm like, 'Yeah, Serena.'"

RACQUET ABUSE Jarmere Jenkins found a new mode of attack on equipment at the Drummondville Challenger in Canada this week, crunching his racquet thrice over his knee and ripping it in half before storming to his personal effects courtside.

BONUS  Not everyone thinks the exhibitionism of a certain classic tennis-poster image is worthy of, well, exhibition. Wimbledon found out the hard way.
