Ryan Harrison will not play the French Open because of an ankle injury, but is looking to return in time for the grass-court season. The 23-year-old retired from a Taipei Challenger three weeks ago when he twisted his ankle and had been targeting a comeback at Roland Garros.
However, he wrote on Twitter that the return is delayed.
Unfortunately my ankle isn't quite ready so I won't be able to compete in Paris this year. Looking forward to some great tennis on the grass— Ryan Harrison (@ryanharrison92) May 16, 2015
Now ranked No. 127, Harrison scored his first Top 10 win this season by defeating Grigor Dimitrov in Acapulco on his way to the semifinals. He has been ranked as high as No. 43, but injuries have plagued his career for years.
