VIDEOS: Kyrgios' virtuous volleys; Cara Black wins wall ball

Let's hear it for the doubles stars.

File that under statements that should be heard more often in the pro tennis realm. In any case, those volleying masters won't soon be outdone by the likes of Nick Kyrgios as far as brilliant net hands go. Even so, the 20-year-old Aussie took part in the current #VolleyingChallenge going on to raise awareness about the need for cancer immunotherapy.

The flashy young star displayed some fairly deft touch in the clip, but back to the point made at the outset: He's no match for, say, Cara Black, at 36 nearly twice his age. Witness again this fantastic volleying barrage from perhaps the premier net player of the past 15 years in women's doubles:

Aye, she's practically hitting there at double the speed of Kyrgios' volleys. So yes, Nick's got growing up to do.

That doesn't detract from what he's bringing awareness to, nor from the fact that he has challenged Serena Williams, Andy Murray and compatriot Thanasi Kokkinakis to follow suit. Game on, all.
