Nick Kyrgios is eager to take on Stanislas Wawrinka in the first round of Queen's Club. Kyrgios, who defeated Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon a year ago, was drawn against the French Open champion in the first round of the ATP 500 event.

"It's unbelievable, I think, to have an opportunity to play Wawrinka after he won the French Open. It's really exciting," said the 20-year-old, who watched Wawrinka defeat Novak Djokovic in the French Open final.

"Stan just played unbelievably. It was extraordinary," said Kyrgios. "He hits the ball massive...so I can see some similarities to me, but I think our games are a little bit different.

"I'm feeling really confident but we'll see how it goes. I'm just going to go play my game, have fun," he said.

Kyrgios has kept moving upward in the rankings since his breakthrough at Wimbledon, cracking the Top 30 despite dealing with some injuries.

"Every time I'm in London, it's hard not to think about what happened," he said, "but I'd like to think I've done a lot of good things since then as well which also boost my confidence and just give me more motivation to keep training hard as well."

The winner could play Lleyton Hewitt in the second round.
