Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has withdrawn from Halle, following his decision not to play at 's-Hertogenbosch this week.

The 30-year-old, who injured his abdomen at the French Open, has not played since reaching the semifinals of the tournament, where he fell to Stanislas Wawrinka.

He was also sidelined with an injury at the beginning of the season, returning in Miami from an arm problem which had kept him from competing.

Tsonga, a former Wimbledon semifinalist, is still scheduled to play Nottingham before the grass-court major.
