Milos Raonic has pulled out of Canada’s Davis Cup quarterfinal tie next week against Belgium. Raonic, who lost to Nick Kyrgios in the third round at Wimbledon, had said that he wasn’t 100 percent healthy.

In May, the world No. 8 had minor surgery on his right foot. Raonic returned at Queen's Club two weeks ago and said that he felt fine.

"I’m devastated not to be participating in this tie against Belgium," the 24-year-old said. "Due to my recurring injury, I am not able to play tennis for the next few weeks. My goal right now is to get healthy as fast as possible and get back to playing tennis as soon as I can."
The Canadian team includes Vasek Pospisil, Frank Dancevic, Filip Peliwo and Daniel Nestor. The Belgian team will be David Goffin, Steve Darcis, Ruben Bemelmans and Kimmer Coppejans. The tie will take place on outdoor clay at the Sportpark Krokodiel in Ostend, Belgium.
