WIMBLEDON, England—Milos Raonic, who lost to Nick Kyrgios in four sets in the third round of Wimbledon, says that while the Australian played better than he did, he was in pain throughout the match.

In May, Raonic had minor surgery for a nerve problem in his right foot. The Canadian returned at the Queen’s Club grass tournament two weeks ago and said that he felt fine there, but now is not at 100 percent.

“I'm just dealing with a lot of things,” the 24-year-old said, explaining that he was having problems in his legs, hips and eventually his shoulder. “I still have some discomfort in my feet, so compensations and stuff like this just make any pain pretty much come up. The more I got through the match the more difficult it was.

"The feet are, I'd say, the instigator.”

Raonic added that recovery in his right foot remains a process, but is hoping that it will recover.

“Maybe I had hoped it was quite a bit better by now, but it's a situation I'm in,” he said. “I wanted to be back, I wanted to play before Queen's, and play Queen's and all this kind of stuff. I understood what it came with, and I honestly hoped I'd be in better shape and in better condition, but I'm just trying to push myself every day.

"The next challenge is ahead of me. Just try to make the most of those opportunities. I'm dealing with what I'm dealing with. I can't make it disappear. I can't make any magic out of it. I'm just facing it head on.”
