Eugenie Bouchard has withdrawn from this week's tournament at Tokyo, saying she is still not fit following a fall in the locker room during the U.S. Open.

Bouchard reached the third round of singles before getting injured following a mixed doubles match. She was said to have slipped and fallen while searching for a light switch to take an ice bath on site, and was forced to withdrew from the event.

“I'm really disappointed to withdraw from the Toray Pan Pacific Open, but I haven't sufficiently recovered from the concussion I sustained,” she said in a statement.

Bouchard is next scheduled to pay Wuhan, but did not indicate whether she would compete. The Canadian is said to be recuperating in her hometown in Montreal.
