Dominic Thiem isn’t sure whether he will go to the 2016 Olympics Game in Brazil next summer due to tough scheduling. Currently ranked No. 21, the 22-year-old says that next summer could be exhausting.

The 2016 summer hard-court season will begin with the ATP Masters Series 1000 tournament in Canada from July 25-31, then the Olympic Games in Brazil from August 5-21, followed by the ATP Masters 1000 Cincinnati on August 15-21, and finally the U.S. Open.
This summer, Thiem won two tournaments on clay (Umag and Gstaad), and reached the semifinals in Kitzbuhel.
“I'm not a big fan of the Olympic Games. The ATP calendar is a bit complex due to the Olympic event,” he told TennisNet. “Small tournaments like Gstaad, Umag and Kitzbuhel will be played in the same week. It's not the main priority for me, but maybe my mentality will change when I'm older.

“I prefer playing ATP tournaments and Davis Cup competition rather than Olympic Games. The Olympics are very important only if you gain a medal and that's a very difficult achievement.”
