Gasquet withdraws from IPTL with back injury

The world No. 8 could be forced to withdraw from Doha.

Richard Gasquet has withdrawn from the International Premier Tennis League (IPTL) with a back injury, and could delay the start of his 2016 season.

The Frenchman, who was intermittently sidelined with a chronic back problem during the 2015 season, has returned to Paris for more medical examination. According to French press, the world No. 9 could withdraw from Doha (which begins on January 4).
